Why This Reference Exists
Colorado County does not publish one public search that covers every court and warrant type. The County Clerk links the Tyler criminal portal for County Court case records, the District Clerk keeps District Court files, and each JP or municipal court has its own lower-court matters. The Sheriff's Office provides communications, jail, civil, and other public contacts, but its visible site has no public searchable warrant roster. A search that stops at one court can miss another court's record.
The purpose here is to identify the official source for a reader's own case or for helping a family member understand a notice. Court status, bond, hearing dates, and recall instructions must come from the office that maintains the case.
Topics Covered
The county and city pages organize local routes by the question a reader needs answered:
- Search routes: the warrant check page explains the County Clerk index, lower courts, FTA status, and public-information requests.
- Open records: active warrant search describes the limits of county and city lists.
- Court process: the bench warrant and arrest warrant pages distinguish missed-date process from probable-cause process.
- Traffic and municipal cases: traffic warrants and the city court page show which court to call.
- Public safety: the County Most Wanted page describes the Crime Stoppers tip program without reproducing a roster.
Limits of This Service
This is a privately operated reference, not a government office. It cannot run an official search, verify a name match, remove or recall process, set a court date, accept payment, or post a bond. It also cannot give legal advice about a specific charge or warrant.
- Only the issuing court can confirm its current record and decide whether to recall process.
- The sheriff can answer service, custody, or routing questions within its role.
- An online index may omit a new, lower-court, sealed, juvenile, or otherwise restricted record.
- Payment through a portal may not immediately change a court or FTA status.
- Fees, office hours, and procedures should be confirmed with the named office.
Use the case number and the court printed on the citation or notice. A missing result from one portal is not countywide confirmation.
Search Partners
Some pages include a sponsored search box operated by a third-party provider. That provider sets its own fees, data practices, and result coverage. If the tool leads to a paid service, this site may receive a referral payment. A sponsored result is not an official warrant check and does not replace the Tyler portals or a direct call to the court.
